New to Pilates? Start Here
So you’re new to Pilates. Welcome.
At Panda Pilates we believe Pilates is for everyone. It is all about resistance training which builds long lean strength with low impact on your joints but delivers high results for your body and mind.
Where to Begin
Start your journey with a free trial class. This is the best way to experience how Pilates feels. Controlled mindful and surprisingly powerful.
We run free trial classes at 5 pm Tuesday to Friday and 1 pm on Saturday so you can easily fit it into your week.
We recommend starting with our Foundations classes. These are designed for beginners and focus on form breath and core activation.
We offer at least two Foundations classes every day and each instructor teaches them a little differently. Try a few to discover your favorite style.
Where to Start Mat or Reformer
Many people assume mat Pilates is easier but it is actually the opposite.
Reformer Pilates is often gentler on your body because the machine provides support and helps guide your movement. The springs create resistance but also assist you so it is easier on your joints and spine.
The principles are the same on both but if you are just starting out the reformer helps you feel the movement with more control and confidence.
How Often to Come
If you want to see a real reform come three times a week.
If you do other activities like sports or strength training twice a week will still help you feel stronger and more mobile.
What to Bring
Grip socks are required but not to worry we sell them at the studio.
Bring water to stay hydrated and ready to move.
After Class
Refuel with one of our protein shakes or enjoy an organic matcha from the Panda Café. It is the perfect way to recover and reward yourself.
